East Corner of Jackson Town Square

The Antler Arches of Jackson Hole Those crazy arches in Jackson’s Town Square are made from thousands of real elk antlers—naturally shed by elk wintering nearby at the National Elk Refuge. The first arch was built in 1953 by the Jackson Hole Rotary Club and Boy Scouts. Eventually, four arches marked the four corners of the square. Each arch uses roughly 2,000 antlers and weighs around 10,000+ pounds! And here’s the cool part: the arches are periodically rebuilt as the antlers age. The old ones get auctioned off, and new naturally shed antlers take their place.
